Role Description
Gibbs Giden is seeking exceptional attorneys (with 3+ years of experience) in construction litigation, real estate, and/or complex business/civil litigation to join our team in either our Westlake Village, Los Angeles, or Irvine offices, with the opportunity to remotely from time to time. Attorneys with a practice in compatible or even different practice areas (e.g., employment, IP, estate planning, tax, land use, etc.) are welcome to apply as the firm is always looking to broaden our ability to serve clients in a wide variety of transactions or litigation matters. If the applicant is looking to join one of our existing practice groups, a basic understanding of real property, development, construction, insurance and the commercial code is welcome, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Lateral partners and senior counsel are also welcome to apply. Stand-up comedians and poor golfers are also a plus for our firm family.
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in California
- Experience in handling construction, real estate, or complex litigation cases is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Pay Range
$145,000 - $200,000+ (depending on experience). Pay range information is provided in compliance with SB1162 (California’s pay transparency law); actual pay may vary based on a variety of factors, including applicable experience.
